I know I really am "on the fence" in regards to a couple of subjects, as advocacy for a person with epilepsy and mental illness I speak freely on my conditions; at times this is beneficial to execute my role as an adult mental first aid because the problems are very relatable. I am a Certified Community Health Worker/ adult with mental health that developed during years fighting the epilepsy. Many comorbid conditions developed such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, agoraphobia, for example.
Upon taking a course for certification to be an adult mental health first aide I was very active in participation asking questions raising my hand then it happened, we are also asked to do an exercise I happen to be paired with a college graduate and more so an average Joe under the topic of eating disorders. I could answer the given questions easily because I experienced the various conditions.
Nonetheless as I was saying the answers that I know from experience, average Joe wanted to write everything out the book, graduate trying to talk over me "I have a master's" I became a little irritated because I was answering genuinely not repeat the words from a book.
