Epilepsy and the psychology to it

Since emotions are such a factor in epilepsy, in my teens I wanted to learn more about the mind. How does it work, and what's different about mine. From personal experiences I know haywire emotions are a cluster of seizures in the making. I have had counseling and learned how getting the negatives out in a healthy way can make quite the difference. So I decided helping children with mental health problems was my goal. I pursued a degree in clinical psychology but I haven't completed that degree because it like my work attempts got derailed by the epilepsy. I was having seizures during class, forgetting things after every episode, even with accommodations, you use it or lose it. One concept I didn't forget about was coping mechanisms, mine being my faith.
