Family is what you make it.

Epilepsy can be very isolating for people, lots don't have anybody to turn to. Not even family...or so they thought 🤔 The root of the term family came referring to a group of people blood relation or not, that reside under the same home and interact amongst one another for example eating together at the same table. Realistically in 2022 the dynamic is completely changed. Nowadays family is really what you make it. I have lots of relatives, cousins, aunts, uncles, parents, and siblings. That's just one part. I have my extended family that there's no blood relation just love. There's my church family, never cast a judgement even when I had a nice one during Easter Sunday Mass. I have extended family through my significant other, nervous meeting them I made a great 1st impression, seizure on Christmas, but no judgement just support; I even have what I would call my purple family, my fellow warriors that are the only ones that can understand and relate to my dilemma. We are not alone 💜
