In our society so much of life is based on stigmative beliefs and nothing is anywhere close to the truth.
It's not easy to do, but a warrior's mentality has to make a big 180 from disgrace to embrace in regards to their battle. I once was hermit, rarely come out with few words to say. My treatment resistant epilepsy had me embarrassed feeling afraid of judgement and downright ashamed.
Where I am now is different in many ways. Rather than hang back in the negatives, I must embrace that I am me, Sarina, a woman living with epilepsy. I do what I can, as with anyone, I also have my limits.
My 180: I spent so much time and money for makeup in efforts to hide my battle wounds. Find the right shade and brush. My 180 was to take my experiences and learn to be myself, I did nothing wrong to have such condition so why must I hide? Society is nothing but judgement and false assumptions but I now am more motivated to speak up and other help people with the same hesitation mindset.
