For countless years cannabis has been used in a medicinal manner. It's was the CBD recognized first for the calming effects in multiple categories (in more ways than one examples)
1. Physical: countless illnesses, symptoms such as pain, muscle spasms, insomnia, migraine
2. Psychiatric: stress, depression, PTSD, etc.
3. Cognitive: learning, memory, ADHD
2018: Epidiolex - A CBD medicine prescribed for seizures resulting from Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravent. (Two variants of epilepsy)
I myself use 1:1 elixir 2x daily,
1:1 drops as needed when out
As far as flower goes, hybrids are my preference. Although indica is most recommended for seizure control because "They say....", too strong an indica can have a person overly sedated since they already use AED's (Anti-Epileptic Drugs) I use two and a balance has to be found so a sativa hybrid is more applicable. I still will then have a better, functional, content, quality of life. Reduction of tonic-clonics and control my mental wellbeing have been my main gain from using cannabis. Through trial and error, Girl Scout Cookie would be my first pick when available.
