In more ways than one: Education

Anyone that knows me, knows that I long to learn. In order to achieve the ultimate goal of pediatric clinical psychologist, I would have a long journey ahead of me. I go by slow and steady so I began at

  • CCRI, a local community college. Transportation to and from along with difficulty retaining the entire lesson.

  • University of Phoenix the going online college. An issue was my need to break occasionally due to photosensitivity (Photosensitive epilepsy is when seizures are triggered by flashing lights or contrasting light and dark patterns)

  • Sawyer School was a local career certification school, that has since closed. Before applying I made it known that I am a warrior, supposedly not a problem; certified medical administrative assistant (CMAA) is the program I took interest in. When times that seizures came to pass, I was told they were "disruptive".

  • Rhode Island college is where I made efforts to persue the initial goal of degree in psychology. Seizures took place both on campus and in transit to campus. All the while the memory wasn't holding.

Rather than surrender, I made a change of plan. Instead of overexertion in school, I decided I will train for a specific position. Registered Behavior Technician and Licensed lnsurance Agent are examples. I definitely have been trying to learn, in way more ways than one.
