The classic phrase "is it better to loved and lost than to never have loved at all?" can fit lots of things metaphorically. As far as epilepsy goes, depending when in life epilepsy began to take affect determine what side of the fence. We're all warriors, some people became epileptic at different times in life. Someone who grew to finish college and career, drives a car, etc., has a lot of adjusting to do because it can be gone before you know it. -loved and lost. Another person that may have put on the armor at a younger age like myself and didn't even have the chance to experience such things. -never have loved at all. Here's the unsaid debate: is it harder to have it all taken away or never have it in the first place?

For love and lost:
I honestly believe it is better to have not loved at all because if you do not know what you're missing then it hurts less than to have it ripped away. As another saying goes ignorance is bliss. So if you've never loved never experienced something then you will remain blissfully ignorant.
