Lay your boundaries, and stick to them...

Once one figures what their most prominent triggers are, the next step would be to try to manage the purple lifestyle, and keep the triggers and/or over-stimulation to a minimum.
If it hurts to do such, you learn not to do it; set your rules and boundaries especially in regards to your health and wellbeing. Anyone that oversteps or ignores the set boundaries doesn't need to be in your life. That goes for anyone warrior or not.
The phrase "not worth my time and energy" applies here because if a person doesn't respect your laid law, they are not worthy of a second thought.
