Never compare your ribbons: your fight isn't any worse than mine.

Quite often when people are having their dilemmas and hardships with their health it can be overwhelming and it seems like all is against you. In those moments it's easy to look at others and say they have it easier. Yes the grass isn't always greener on the other side and you can't jump to assumptions from the outside looking in.
As an example I was out shopping one day and during common conversation a person that had cancer and was curious about the epilepsy type that I'm treating. My types vary I don't always have tonic clonic, which is what people assume; I said I don't have tonic clonic on a constant and the cancer patient said well excuse me for saying but that's not that bad...
Now cancer is a serious condition, even with treatment it can be fatal. At the same time with treatment it can be cured; epilepsy, to hear the doctor tell it, cannot be cured it can be treated so that a purple warrior such as myself can just live a functional life.
I felt mixed like was this guy actually rude and saying that and or does society have that much lack of knowledge of epilepsy? Total respect to the rainbow of warriors out there, lack of awareness does NOT decrease the importance of your condition.
