Persistence pays off

It's been a lot of baby steps to get where I am in life. That's mentally, emotionally, and physically. Where I am currently is long from my initial intentions in life.
I may not be a pediatric clinical psychologist, but along the rocky road I have been riding, I found my way, a detour, but my way. Helping is what I enjoy most so why not go advocacy? I served a term with Americorps and Epilepsy Foundation New England earning certificates of a Community Health Worker; I can now go forwards with the skills learned from this detour in many directions.

It's very refreshing to have someone say that they are interested in you over others because I know how much effort I had to put in to it. It's no longer "I think I can" now "I know I did it!"
