At first glance this seems and great opening for the homeless in Woonsocket... That it is but you have to consider where it truly begins. The encampments wouldn't even exist if half those people were housed and the reason that they aren't is because when rent is ridiculous; landlords that do not maintain their property and overcharge. The way the government economy is going right now and shut down really plays against the tenants in need, there is a domino effect.
There's homelessness in the city and the few people that are blessed enough to hold and stay afloat get looked down upon. Since the cherished landlords don't want to maintain their property. The city don't want to make the landlord maintain the property because of the taxes they get from the not so great landlords. It is bad that I know my landlord has a reputation throughout the city I've heard from department of human services, Mayor, the fire department, code enforcement (who sides with her) and the police department all have an experience with her.
Now it is great that this facility was designed, built, and launched but it was long overdue. Now I say political poker face because they do hold this whole portrayal of we're for the people, but what's behind closed doors...night and day.
Chief inspector:
If it is that bad move 😕
Question: Disabled so where to and with what $?
It's fine she history of doing bare minimum
Her son can repair it.
🙄🤔 I wonder why didn't he do it correctly the first dozen times I asked? Over a 2 year timespan.
While unlikely, Sarina could have placed that, other tenants do bad things.
Initial leak, I found out she previously had laid metal sign to make a quick patch to catch the leak. "Contractor" placed in the wood and the leak worsened.
I mentioned signs of the leak returning. Everything is declared up to par by Chief last Wednesday and Thursday evening...
If they really want to make a difference, do what needs to really be done, lay and actually enforce an ordinance. Don't neglect those in need in favor for all the wealthy landlord's well-being. Everyone deserves a better quality of life.
