Attempting to spread the message may be just too frustrating. Hard enough living as a warrior, but finding the best way to communicate a point simultaneously with that storm we call epilepsy brewing inside is definitely an obstacle.
Not everyone speaks freely, it might not be in their comfort zone. Thoroughly understanding a person living with epilepsy is not easy if at all possible. So most warriors stay quiet.
From the lack of communication, lots of misunderstandings and stigma thoughts are easily brought to the table; when having some background information explains plenty about a warrior in question. Maybe, just maybe there's another layer to it?
