Tick tock...then miscommunication

Updated: Sep 23, 2024

In previous post I had mentioned that I was counting on a future job position it was going to solve many problems for me to help me get out of the valley that I've been in for a few years and give me an opportunity that I've definitely had struggled with being a purple warrior.

  1. Stigmatized

  2. Implicit Biased Pre-judgement

  3. Disability=100% Liability

Although I was initially approved, was told to start on a certain date, break and down of the training, come certain date they didn't know what I was talking about at the building. I couldn't get a hold of the recruiter his secretary tells me that I wasn't officially hired, not exactly "rejected" by MetLife and it was all "miscommunication" even though I did have an interview with the MetLife hiring manager that said everything's a go gave me details I had an email on it which had vanished suddenly day of.

This is where the warrior comes out...An outspoken woman with epilepsy, Certified Community Health Worker and Foundational Training for Public Health Americorps, that is willing to talk back.

I would say the combo of experiences with previous very short-lived jobs mixed with certain certifications especially validated through CDC and Americorps and know my ADA rights I'm not talking out the side of my neck. This is not my first rodeo and probably not my last but I am not going to cave.
