Time to reach out

A little meet and greet State House tour was fun...I just underestimated the number of stairs through the enormous building. Some calories were burned.

On a more important note, Community Health Workers need to have more continuous communication with legislature, and CHW's need to be credited and acknowledged as someone valued.

This is where things are said and done here in Rhode Island, where the state's representatives brainstorm and get things decided. Now the challenge for CHW's is getting the deserved credit that is due. Providing the skills needed to be a CHW is not easy, reaching out to the legislature and explaining the needs of the general public to get the message across is part of what we're meant to do. I know I am just trying to share empathy with those in need

Hopefully things will smooth out for the better, everyone on the same page general public and legislature... someday. In the meantime this purple warrior CCHW is going to keep yapping for the sake of advocacy. 💜
