I've been the one to raise my hand to speak filled with hesitation and second guess myself for years. An obstacle that took some time to surpass, but I did it.
People, I'm dealing with are men that have been given any type of title or authority, and it seemingly goes to their heads. As a result they feel superior and see me as less than. I don't see that as right, law doesn't see that as right, but in City Hall perspective, it's "Hey whatever, it's all right we like being on our high horses."
Time out: This purple warrior, Sarina is one of many things. CHW that has gone through the same hastle in Rhode Island; I fight for what's right, deserved better quality of life. Get ready to have a flag thrown and the whistle blown
Regardless of what shade of R.O.Y.G.B.I.V. your completion is, no one is truly superior. We all deserve better quality of life, it's the principle. I know my shade of the spectrum plays a role, it's one of the Social Determinants of Health. It's a factor in why I receive lack of respect in city hall. Something landlords often practice is bare minimum. It is a pretty phrase for code enforcement allowing sub-par conditions and the tenant is still responsible to pay the rent.
